About Me

I worked in video & film production for most of my working life.

While working as a video producer/director I returned to school part-time to earn an MFA in studio arts, and then did several semesters of post-grad study in intaglio printmaking working with Chuck Boone at College of DuPage, IL. Teresa Parker of Parker Press, Chicago, IL, and Robert Bornhuetter at Northern Illinois University, IL.

From 1993-2000 I taught in the art department at the College of DuPage, as a part-time instructor.

My intaglio and relief work has most often been abstractions based on nature; drawings of surreal swimmers, and depictions of the mental meditative space, although lately I have been exploring photogravures, but I am slowly working back to a more drawing based imagery using the newest photopolymer plates.

My work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Canada, and Sweden. I have been an exhibiting artist since 1972 in photography, video art, and printmaking.

Currently I assist in intaglio workshops at Making Art Safely in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and doing video production there making artist and process videos for instruction and promotion.
